FIELD: manufacture of checkerwork. SUBSTANCE: proposed checkerwork has three- dimensional cellular structure which forms inner structure of device used for transfer of masses, heat exchange or mixing gases and liquids; inner structure is divided into many chambers and passages which are interconnected. Three- dimensional cellular structure consists of many elementary structures which are continuously located in vertical and horizontal directions of cellular structure. Each elementary structure is formed by convergence of three or four filamentary elements at one point and divergence of these elements. Proposed method includes stage of forming convergent portion of elementary structure where three or four filamentary elements meet at one point by twisting them together.
