FIELD: transport engineering; railless vehicles; articulated-frame machines. SUBSTANCE: proposed coupler has hinge joint with vertical axle and hinge joint with horizontal axle, shaft arranged in supports of rear member housing and hinge-coupled with front member, gear lock mechanism of hinge joint with horizontal axle arranged inside semi-frame and provided with spring-loaded blocks with locking teeth and support surfaces, and drum. Drum is installed for turning on supports secured in housing of rear member. Drum turns around horizontal axle under action of control drive. Shaft arranged opposite to spring-loaded blocks has locking teeth located on arc corresponding to maximum tolerable angle of member turning around horizontal axle with provision of engagement with locking teeth of spring-loaded blocks displaced in radial direction under action of drum flats on support surfaces of spring-loaded blocks. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of blocking, possibility of coupling in any position of vehicle members, improved safety. 2 dwg
