METHOD OF MANUFACTURE OF ARCHITECTURAL ARTICLES Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: manufacture of building materials; applicable in manufacture of decorative members of buildings under factory and construction site conditions. SUBSTANCE: method of manufacture of architectural articles from moldable polymer-gypsum mixture consists in mixing in mixer of gypsum binder, structure-forming additive, resin of amino- aldehyde group, acid hardener and filler with subsequent molding of article and its curing. Components of mixture are used in the following amounts, wt%: filler 22.0-45.0; fibrous material 2.0-8.0; structure- forming additive 0.6-6.5; resin of amino-aldehyde group 15.0-30.0; acid hardener 0.3-1.5; the balance, gypsum binder. Amount of acid hardener is preliminarily determined by pH of mixture which is established within 2.5-3.5. First supplied to idle mixer is resin and structure-forming additive, then, mixer is switched-on and all volume of filler is loaded, and in 45-75 s gypsum binder is added, and then, acid hardener is supplied into operating mixer and all components of mixture are stirred for 25-35 s, and obtained composition is filled into molds. After 15-20 min elapsed and setting of article composition, articles are removed from molds directed for curing. Articles are held at temperature of 15-20 C and air humidity of not in excess of 80% for 5-7 days, or subjected to heat treatment at 60-70 C for 12-14 h.
