METHOD FOR MAKING OPENING IN WALL Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: construction engineering; overhaul of large-panel buildings including retrofitting and changing of volume-planning decisions. SUBSTANCE: wall opening is made in reinforced-concrete bearing wall panel by mounting horizontal and vertical metal reinforcing members on two side of mentioned panel along outline of opening; reinforcing members are, essentially, rolled channel bars and angle pieces which are braced together using through holes made in wall in advanced; then stiff framework is concreted to form framing around opening that has lintel approaching upper floor, pylons and brace. Opening is cut after concrete has obtained design strength. Rigid framework compensates for reduction of stressed state of wall panel due to opening made and ensures bearing capability of wall and of building as a whole. Concreting of frame structure opening is preferably made by shotcrete. EFFECT: provision for maintaining bearing capability of wall when making opening in it. 2 cl, 3 dwg
