FIELD: mechanical engineering; engines. SUBSTANCE: proposed cooling system of internal combustion engine 1 has cylinder block cooling jacket 3 and cylinder head cooling jacket 4, interconnected by water bypass channels 2, and water pump 5 connected by pressure space to water distributing channel 6 of cylinder block. Liquid oil cooler 7 placed between water pump 5 and distributing channel 6 is mounted on side wall of cylinder block cooling jacket 3. Water distributing channel 6 is made in housing 8 of oil cooler 7. System has radiator 9 with inlet line 10 and outlet line 11, two-position thermostat 12 and bypass pipeline 13. Cooling liquid is delivered to bypass pipeline 13 at side of water distributing channel 6 through pipe whose passage area is less than that of system pressure section. Capacity of pump exceeds carrying capacity of cylinder block cooling jacket 3 at block outlet. EFFECT: increased efficiency of engine cooling system, provision of guaranteed cavitation head in cylinder block cooling jacket and high efficiency of liquid oil cooler at limited overall dimensions. 2 cl, 1 dwg
