FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in internal combustion engines, particularly, in multiple cylinder diesel engines. Liquid cooling jacket has upper and lower support belts for cylinder liners and intermediate support belt in form of ring rib placed between upper and lower belts and dividing cooling jacket space into lower cooling space connected with supply manifold and upper ring cooling space connected with channel directing liquid into engine cylinder block head and with lower space through channels made in ring rib. Lower cooling space is additionally connected by vertical channels made in jacket partitions with cylinder block head cooling space, thus providing two different flows of cooling liquid mixing in head cooling space. Axes of channels in ring rib intersect to top relative to cylinder axes and cross relative to cylinder axis being turned to one side. Damping ring in contact with cylinder liner is installed in intermediate support belt. EFFECT: improved efficiency of cooling. 3 cl, 2 dwg
