FIELD: mechanical engineering; piston compressors. SUBSTANCE: compressor cylinder block is covered from top with valve plate provided with holes for suction and relief valves. Suction valve leaf spring is fixed at one end so that its fixed part be located between valve plate and cylinder block. Shutoff part closing suction valve hole is located on other end of spring. Middle part of spring is arranged in fact outwards cylinder cross section. Stop for suction valve leaf-spring is installed in zone of cylinder wall pointed to spring fixed part. EFFECT: provision of optimum filling of cylinder and improved efficiency of compressor used in refrigerating plants. 10 cl, 7 dwg
