FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: holographic method of signal automatic gain control (AGC) includes focusing of light flux inside electro-optical element. Supply of controlled electric signal to electrodes applied on lateral faces of optically transparent electro-optical element. Direction of light flux from output of optically transparent electro-optical element in plane semi-reflecting Fourier hologram of holographic interferometer. Measurement and analysis of parameters of spatial-spectral distribution of intensity of optical field in plane of formed fringe pattern. Control effects are generated based on conducted analysis and fed into amplifying elements of signal receiver adjustable amplifying cascades.

EFFECT: wider dynamic range of AGC signal, high efficiency of its operation and reduced effect of background noise at operation of AGC signal system.
