FIELD: apiculture. SUBSTANCE: hive has detachable multi-functional bottom, four modules, two semimodules, horizontal diaphragm with bee entrances, intermediate framework, two-chamber feeder, ceiling with insertion board between chambers, heating equipment mounted on insertion board, and roof. Hive total height is 1,603 mm. Multifunctional detachable bottom is made in the form of frame provided with shield for attaching antimite net. Frame front wall has slit for receiving bee entrance insert and rear wall is provided with window for receiving insert-door. Pollen catcher mounted behind bee entrance insert is composed of removable pollen catching grid provided with flap, net for covering top part of pollen collection box, special lever for lifting pollen catching grid, and bee entrance device providing exit of bee species from hive avoiding pollen catching grid. Modules and semimodules have casings with retractable cassettes within them, with cassette rear wall making module or semimodule casing rear wall, and front wall being spaced from inner surface of module or semimodule casing front wall by distance of 10 mm. Such construction of hive allows bees to be treated without interfering in their life cycle during active period and provides reliable wintering with minimum feed consumption during rest period, and creation of life conditions for bee family approximating natural conditions.
