FIELD: apiculture, in particular, construction of hives.
SUBSTANCE: hive comprises roof and casings arranged in vertical plane. Casings are disposed one above another, with space between casings being equal to 7.5±0.5 mm. Each of casings has on each outer side wall thereof two hand grips formed as elongated recesses and on each front wall supporting parts for hanging of comb frames. Each of frames is formed as T-shaped profile inserted with its one arm into elongated slit provided in upper part of walls. Hive has detachable bottom with alighting board, said bottom being equipped with slot formed as reverse truncated pyramid and provided with vent opening in its bottom and depression extending along upper cut of recess in plane parallel to upper surface of alighting board. Hive parts may be made from polystyrene foam. Hive of such construction enables creation of comfortable living conditions for bees and provides for high-productivity operation and wintering of bee family.
EFFECT: simplified construction, increased precision and smoothness of surfaces of parts, improved workability, easy maintenance and transportation of hive and provision for creating advantageous conditions for bees.
