FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: multiple-storey hive comprises a bottom, a roof, and housings arranged vertically in the form of a column without parts projecting beyond the perimeter. All the walls of the housings and those of the bottom and roof sole timbers are made of the same length. The bottom is made with two slit-shaped through grooves located on opposite walls of the sole timber, oriented with their long sides parallel to the base. The bottom and the roof are of the same design. The hive is additionally equipped with four three-element hive-entrance barriers.

EFFECT: design simplification, rational use of materials during manufacture, labour cost reduction in the maintenance, repair and transportation of hives, yield increasing and cost reduction of bee products, creating comfortable conditions to building up strength, high-performance work and ensuring safe wintering of a bee family.
