METHOD OF STABILIZATION OF SCALE FACTOR OF FIBER-OPTICAL GYROSCOPE Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

Abstract RU 2160885 C1

FIELD: fiber optics, design of fiber-optical gyroscopes and other fiber transducers of physical quantities based on ring fiber-optical interferometer. SUBSTANCE: method diminishes influence of spurious modulation of intensity of beams in integral-optical phase modulator of ring interferometer of gyroscope on precision of keeping of amplitude of compensating phase of saw at level of 22π radians which leads to increased stability of scale factor of gyroscope. Phase modulation is carried out with the use of pulses of positive polarity with amplitude of phase radiation ±(π-Δ) radians and with the use of pulses of negative polarity with amplitude of phase modulation ±(π+Δ) radians. In this case 0,05π radians ≤Δ≤0,5π radians. At small angular velocities phase modulation is carried out in the course of time length T2 with amplitude ±π radians by means of pulses either negative or positive polarity or in first part T12

of time length T2 first by pulses of positive polarity and in second part T22
