FIELD: inorganic chemistry, chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: liquid waste in production of isobutylbenzene in the content of aluminium chloride (AlCl3) from 200 to 300 g/dm3 is subjected for neutralization with solution exhibiting caustic ratio = 1. Neutralization process is carried out at the room temperature. Neutralization of solution of aluminium chloride (AlCl3) with alumina solution is carried out in the stoichiometric ratio of components, g-mole, AlCl3 : alumina solution = (0.666-1.333):(0.666-1.333) for preparing mono- and bimolar low-base solution of basic aluminium chloride and in the ratio = (0.575-1.150):(0.719-1.438) for preparing 1.020 and 2.040 molar high-basic solution of basic aluminium chloride, respectively.
