FIELD: petroleum processing and petrochemistry. SUBSTANCE: n-butane is first isomerized into mixture containing together with n-butane, 15-25 mol % isobutane and no higher than 5 mol % C3- and C5,-hydrocarbons. In the second stage, this mixture is subjected to alkylation with ethylene or n-butenes, which are introduced into hydrocarbon stream in an intermediate point between reactors. Catalyst used in the two stages is synthetic zeolite of the fojasite type with general formula La0,18-0,22Ca0,021-0,15Na0,04[Al1Si1,40)O4,80]•H2O, which contains 0.1-0.5% palladium molded with 30-40% pseudobemite or amorphous silicon oxide. Alkylation gasoline can as well be obtained by alkylation of n-butane with n-butenes in presence of above-indicated catalyst or sulfated zirconium dioxide promoted by palladium or platinum precipitated on carrier with high specific surface.
