FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of producing a catalyst for the process of alkylating paraffin with olefins, involving deactivation of its acid centers, wherein the catalyst used is a crystalline zeolite in hydrogen form, deactivation is carried out by treating it in alkylation conditions with a mixture of paraffins C4-C5 and C2-C5 olefins, containing up to 5 % of C2-C5 olefins and 95 % isoparaffin hydrocarbons, until unreacted olefins appear at the outlet of the reactor, followed by treatment of zeolite with solutions of alkali or alkaline-earth metal salts and high-temperature treatment in an oxidative medium.
EFFECT: technical result is obtaining an efficient crystalline zeolite catalyst with high content of strong Bronsted acid centres both on the outer surface and inside the zeolite frame, which is capable of increasing stability and selectivity of branched high-octane paraffins.
