FIELD: application of nuclear quadrupole resonance for detection of substances containing nuclei possessing a quadrupole moment. SUBSTANCE: method consists in registration of absorption of signal at a rise of nuclear quadrupole resonance at an action of a stationary radio-frequency field set up by a spin-wave generator on the object under examination, the generator oscillation frequency is determined by the frequency of the nuclear quadrupole resonance of a standard specimen coinciding in its chemical composition with the substance under examination. The device has a returnable spin-wave generator, whose input is connected to the coil of the oscillatory system of the spin-wave generator accommodating the standard specimen. The output of the spin-wave generator is connected to the input of the power amplifier loaded into the transmitting antenna, as well as to the second input of the receiving antenna, and the output - to the input of the analog-to-digital converter, whose output is connected to the input of the microprocessor controller, whose first output is connected to the input of the spin-wave generator, and the second output - to the input of the modulator loaded into the modulation coils.
