Abstract RU 2161720 C2

FIELD: mechanical engineering; transport diesel engines for locomotives; fuel devices. SUBSTANCE: proposed pump has housing, delivery valve, plunger barrel with two symmetrically coaxial conical holes made in barrel perpendicular to axis and constricting inside barrel, plunger-spool with four symmetrical in pairs cutoff edges and two slots made on working surfaces of spool part perpendicular to plunger axis. Upper and lower cutoff edges of plunger- spool are made nonlinear, being described by arcs of two or more screw lines conjugated by radius of constant or variable curvature. Slot cross- section profile is made in form of wedge with rounded-off constricted part pointed to plunger axis, distance from upper end face of plunger to upper edge of slot being from 1.2 to 1.4 of suction port diameter. Maximum width of slot measured over surface B of plunger is from 0.5 to 0.6 of suction port diameter, and length of slot measured over surface of plunger spool part square to its axis is made to provide two-phase injection at 0.85 to 1.0 rated delivery. EFFECT: reduced summary discharge of nitrogen and carbon oxides over entire range of operation of medium-speed transport diesel engine. 5 cl, 4 dwg
