FIELD: individual protection of human-being against high-speed elements and blank weapons, in particular, protective helmets (armored helmets). SUBSTANCE: the protective shell of armored helmet has an external layer of metal, intermediate layer of viscous-flexible material based on polymer, and an internal layer featured by the fact that it additionally has the second intermediate layer made in the form of a shock-absorbing block consisting of layers of ballistic high-modulus cloth impregnated with polymeric binder. The internal layer is made in the form of a shock-absorbing block consisting of layers of high-modulus cloth of interweaven, non- twisted fiber glued together with film of polyethylene, and the first intermediate layer has a thickness equal to the thickness of the external layer. The second intermediate layer may be made, for example, of ten layers of ballistic high-modulus cloth, and the internal layer may be made of eight layers of high-modulus cloth of interweaven, non-twisted fiber with a linear density of 1000 texes.
