FIELD: personal protection equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of armament, the development of personal protective equipment (for example, helmets) and, in particular, to composite ballistic structures based on aramid fabrics. Composite ballistic structure consists of a reinforcing component in the form of layers of aramid fabric and a binder applied on them. At the same time, equal density satin weave fabric with a repeat from 12 to 20 with a shift from 2 to 18 with a surface density from 450 to 720 g/m2 is used as a reinforcing component. Aramid high-strength, high-modulus linear density yarns of 29.4 tex of 4, 5 or 6 additions with a twist from 20 to 100 twists per meter. Thermal curing film adhesives, epoxy and polyvinyl butyral compositions in the amount of 5 to 10 % by weight of the composite are used as a binder.
EFFECT: increase in the ballistic stability of the organocomposite (V50, m/s) is ensured by increasing the mobility of the aramid reinforcing organocomposite in tissue and the increased kinetic energy of the ballistic projectile due to this absorption.
