FIELD: metallurgy, particularly, wear-resistant cast irons operating under conditions of abrasive and impact-abrasive wear. SUBSTANCE: method includes smelting of burden to prepare pig iron smelt, inoculation of liquid pig iron with magnesium-containing and graphitizing additions, pouring into molds and crystallization of castings. In this case, molten pg iron is overheated to temperature of 1440-1470 C, additionally alloyed with additions, and let stand after inoculation for 8 min. Inoculation is made with mixture of alloying composition FSMG-7 and ferrosilicon FS-75L, or mixture of alloying composition FSMG-7 and ferrosilicon with barium FS-75L-Bal by sandwich process. Introduced into pig iron smelt, prior to inoculation are alloying additions copper M1, ferromanganese FMn-77, boric acid, ferromolybdenum FMo-60 and silicobarium. EFFECT: higher quality of special irons, simplified and low-cost production process due to excluded heat treatment operations, increased wear-resistance of articles with high level of mechanical and antifriction characteristics. 11 cl, 1 dwg, 4 tbl, 3 ex
