FIELD: rope production and pulp-and-paper industry. SUBSTANCE: plaited tubular product has threads oriented in opposite directions and extending in spiral path. Spiral pitch and diameter of tubular product may be varied so that ratio of maximum and minimum pitch and maximum and minimum diameter is 2-3. Threads are united into yarns. Method involves passing one yarn threads under other intersecting yarn threads; inserting first movable end of product into its inner cavity at a distance from second movable end of it; fastening first movable end of product in stitching device; simultaneously stitching two layers of plaited product several times with first end; repeating mentioned operations with second movable end of product; providing tension for fixing one movable end relative to the other movable end; fastening ends on product surface. Method may be used for charging paper pulp from pressing part into drying part, as well as between cylinders of drying part in high-speed papermaking machine. EFFECT: reduced product connection time, enhanced reliability in operation and minimized thickness of joint. 3 cl, 4 dwg
