AUTOMATIC-SHUTOFF FLUSHING CISTERN Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: sanitary engineering; water-closet mounted flushing cisterns with central opening in lid. SUBSTANCE: flushing cistern has lid with central opening, lever, spring, filler fittings, and outlet fittings. The latter has telescopic rod of outlet valve and its bar and tube members and ensures variable outlet water flow. Self-contained outlet fittings have button installed in central bore of full-drain actuator and provided with reset spring and rod with pusher engaged with five-link hinge-and-lever assembly of pair of first- class levers, balancer with vertical slits at ends, and coupling-links provided with compression springs; coupling-links are joined with balancer for longitudinal displacement in its slits. Supports are arranged at levers on guide which is essentially bracing tube of flushing cistern lid provided with longitudinal slits diametrically arranged in same plane just like tubular member of outlet telescopic rod placed in this tube; slits are designed to receive adjacent lever arms and balancer which are free to move along them and also to allow for displacement of tubular member of telescopic rod relative to levers and balancer in the course of full water outlet from flushing cistern. Bar member of telescopic rod has additional stop at its end for engaging the balancer. EFFECT: reduced consumption of tap water. 3 cl, 5 dwg
