FIELD: food-processing industry. SUBSTANCE: clipper has drive shaft connected to feeler mechanism manufactured from polymer and mounted on horizontal shaft. Feeler mechanism has three profiled portions and is provided with conical gear. First profiled portion is made in the form of slot with convex-concave perimeter, second profiled portion is made in the form of slot with convex perimeter, and third profiled portion is made in the form of belt of variable height. Drive shaft is provided with conical gear and mounted under leverage system with upper and lower levers mounted on first single pin and adapted for carrying punch and die, respectively, and with closing and replacement levers mounted on second single pin at both sides of feeler mechanism for engagement with profiled slots. Leverage system has rocker arm whose one end is engageable with replacement device ejector and other end is connected to feeler mechanism belt. Feeler mechanism cone gear is engaged with cone gear of drive shaft which is equipped with electric brake, electric coupling and support with opening for accommodating lever pin and closing lever of replacement device. Closing lever is connected through tie-rods to upper and lower levers. Control system has controller and signalling device. Clipper is used for applying clips to sausage product package edges. Such construction allows adjustment of leverage system to be simplified, precise realization to be provided and predetermined cycle of operations to be maintained for prolonged time.
