FIELD: spring manufacture. SUBSTANCE: automatic machine is provided with mechanism for forming loop on supporting turn of spring. Said mechanism has loop forming gear wheels, device for gripping spring, device for shifting spring, device for orienting supporting turn of spring, device for clamping spring. Automatic machine also includes heat treatment apparatus, packing mechanism with packing plates, mechanism for moving spring blanks out of cutting zone to zone of forming loop and mechanism for moving blanks from loop forming zone to heat treatment zone. Each of said mechanism has gripping unit and members for their opening and closing. Mechanism for forming loop, heat treatment apparatus and mechanism for cutting are provided with their own cam devices. Cam devices of shaping and cutting mechanisms are rigidly mounted on the same working shaft joined with levers rotating motion mechanisms. Cam devices of loop forming mechanism and of heat treatment apparatus are rigidly mounted on another working shaft. Said working shafts are mounted with possibility of synchronous rotation. Cam of cutting mechanism has lifting working portion on its lateral surface. Working surface of cam of heat treatment apparatus is in the form of semicircle arc. Member for closing grip of mechanism for moving spring blank from cutting zone to loop forming zone is joined with kinematic circuit of cutting mechanism. Member for opening grip of above mentioned mechanism is joined with kinematic circuit of closing grip of mechanism for forming loop. Means for closing-opening grip of mechanism for moving spring from zone of forming loop to heat treatment zone are kinematically joined with kinematic circuit of its rocking.
