FIELD: grinding solid materials. SUBSTANCE: drum mill lining consists of elastic plates secured on inner surface of housing at negative allowance in longitudinal direction forming wavy surface. Base plates have symmetrical or off-center trapezoidal section; these plates are laid with grooves relative to each other where grooved plates of inverted trapezoidal form are laid with side shear angle whose width is equal to width of grooves and length is equal to or multiple of length of housing; height of symmetrical and asymmetrical plates is determined by indicated relationship. Base and grooved plates may form continuous working surface. EFFECT: reduced labor consumption required for mounting the lining; increased productivity of drum mills. 2 cl, 4 dwg
