FIELD: mining. SUBSTANCE: artificial guard may be used in underground mineral mining for guarding of development workings in beds up to 1.2 m thick. The support includes crushing of rocks located between guards having props and tie anchors connecting opposite props. Guards and props are made yielding in horizontal and vertical direction with possible drawing together of guards in tensioning of anchors and rock movement in horizontal direction with increase of density and bearing capacity of support and also in vertical direction with increase of rock thrust between roof and floor. EFFECT: increased bearing capacity of artificial support, formation of preliminary thrust and reduced cost for its erection. 1 dwg
