FIELD: mining industry, particularly, room-and Zpillar system of mining. SUBSTANCE: method consists in that, first, at place of anticipated drift, chamber is driven in coal with width equaling that of anticipated drift. Driven parallel to said chamber is one more chamber, over coal pillar 2-4 m wide for rock storage and with width large enough to accommodate rock from subsequent driving and repair of drift. In storage of rocks in chamber, workings in definite spacing are supported from coal mass to drift (connection) to provide, in future, ventilation of lower level face. Claimed method makes it possible to increase stability of development workings due to combined support of pillar-gob pack type, to exclude air leakage, to reduce ash content in mined coal due to rock leaving in mine, but to extract more complete coal reserves. EFFECT: higher quality of mined coal and improved conditions of support of development workings. 1 dwg
