FIELD: mining. SUBSTANCE: method may be used in artificial ventilation of opencasts where metalliferous and nonmetalliferous minerals are mined. The method includes cascade horizon location of ventilation plants and mixing of fresh and foul air. Ventilation plants are used in the form of plants producing fuel-air mixtures. Fresh and foul air is mixed by explosion of fuel-air mixture. In this case suction stream withdrawing foul air beyond opencast is formed by exploding of fuel-air mixture on upper horizon, and then successively down to the lowest horizon. A number of cascades, fuel volume supplied to fuel-air mixture and uniformity of explosions between cascades are determined by an experiment. EFFECT: higher intensity of mixing fresh and foul air. 2 cl, 1 dwg
