FIELD: gasoline production. SUBSTANCE: adsorption purification of gasolines is carried out with activated carbon-fiber materials with applied cobalt phthalocyanine. Mercaptan-saturated adsorbent is regenerated by oxidation of mercaptans with oxygen-containing gas in presence of alkali at 50 to 80 C. The thus regenerated adsorbent is washed with hydrocarbon to remove disulfides, after which adsorbed oxygen is removed via sodium sulfite solution treatment.
