FIELD: construction engineering. SUBSTANCE: butt-joint device used for tensioning bundled strands in mounting reinforced concrete structures such as spans of multiple-span bridge has socket with central opening and inner threaded surfaces on its two ends; externally threaded nut with central hole for passing tense reinforcing bundle is arranged on one end; other end mounts threaded cover with external butt-end supporting surface projecting beyond socket end and with central hole for passing reinforcing bundle being joined. Two anchor slabs with openings are loosely mounted in socket hollow. One of slabs mounted on nut-facing side has conical holes to receive fixing strands of reinforcement and conical members with central holes. Each conical member is made in the form of at least three segments mounted in longitudinally spaced relation between adjacent surfaces. Locking discs whose diameter is not greater than 0.95 of inner diameter of socket and clamping sleeves enclosing strands of reinforcing bundles passed through threaded cover, and contacting through their butt-ends anchoring slab are placed in socket hollow. Locking discs are pressed by means of bolted joint to ends of clamping sleeves and conical members, respectively, longitudinal clearance between adjacent surfaces of mentioned conical members is no less than 0.005 of the diameter of their central hole.
