FIELD: navigation. SUBSTANCE: invention enables spatial orientation of operator or any other mobile object while it travels over ground or other surface characterized by presence of horizontal magnetic field to be carried out. Navigation device incorporates transmitter of angular orientation, displacement transducer, unit for input of initial data, computer of current coordinates. azimuth- range computer, control unit. switch and indication unit. Objective of invention lies in increase of functional capabilities of navigation device which includes determination and indication of current coordinates of point of location of operator in process of its travel over terrain, determination and indication of angle of magnetic azimuth ( direction ) and distance to both finite and initial points in any point of travel, indication of path of covered travel with indication of check points during travel determined by both certain moment of their passing over and specified by operator, " coloring " of characteristic peculiarities of different sections of travel for subsequent indication, indication of superimposition of image of path of conducted travel on image of path of travel carried out before, display of information on covered path and transmission of calculated data to various external devices. This objective is achieved thanks to supplementation of mix of prototype navigation device with unit detecting change of angular orientation, computer of parameters of rectilinear sections of path, computer of cyclic change of coordinates, computer of change of current coordinates, storage of travel cycles, transmitter of time marks, transmitter of check points and OR gate with proper arrangement of circuits of their internal build-up, their interconnection circuit and their connection to other components of device.
