FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method involves receiving radio signals with the central antenna and antennas forming N-member ring-shaped grid with total antenna number being not less than three, measuring complex amplitudes of received signals transforming them into angular spectrum in grid-switching network nodes having current number h and coordinates Xh and Yh and determining its module maximum coordinates. The angular spectrum is determined from formula where n is the antenna number. It is equal to N in the central antenna case and 0, 1, ... N-1 in the other antennas case; i is the imaginary unit; R is the grid radius; λ is the radiation wavelength. Phase and arcos of vector magnitude is additionally determined with orthogonal components being equal to angular spectrum module maximum coordinates. Grid-switching network node coordinates are determined by means of uniform quantization and by determining quantum number pairs having square sum not greater than 1.
EFFECT: accelerated position-finding time.
