FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: gear can be used to measure surface moisture of crystalline components, for instance, NH4ClO4, NH4NO3, NH4Cl, and so on. There is presented description of gear, principle of its preparation for measurement and measurement proper. Method determining moisture content of loose components with the use of gear is characterized by fastness, measurement time is 5 to 10 s. Gear functions together with secondary recording device that is connected to central control unit or computer which allows results of measurement of moisture content of components to be recorded. Invention makes it feasible to exclude pressing unit, to raise representation of analysis due to enlargement of sample portion, to increase measurement accuracy thanks to improved sensitivity of gear. EFFECT: reduced labor input and enhanced productivity of process of measurement of content of surface moisture. 1 dwg
