FIELD: horticulture. SUBSTANCE: digging device is made in the form of spade and has pedal positioned in the vicinity of blade and having larger radius of rotation, and pedal positioned further from blade and having smaller radius of rotation. Spade blade has slot, pedals-limiting washers for feet, and frame has working tool rotation restrictor. Leveling of axial loading on working tool allows worker to use both feet and one hand. Different radii of rotation of pedals allow the whole cycle (penetration into soil, separation of soil layer, lifting and throwing of soil layer) to be performed at single position of frame. Digging device of such construction may be used for working of average and low density soil in gardens and like plots. EFFECT: simplified construction and increased efficiency. 7 dwg
