BUILDING MATERIAL AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURE OF ARTICLES FROM BUILDING MATERIAL Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: construction engineering, applicable for manufacture of building articles, types blocks, partitions, walls and other building constructions based on cement with the use of milled wood waste as a filler. SUBSTANCE: building material is product of homogeneous cement mix with milled moistened wood, mainly, conifers, and soluble glass with electric stabilization of the mix at moulding by direct current with periodic reversal of poles. The moulded mix comprises, mas.%: milled wood, 65; cement of grade 400, 500-21;, soluble glass, 3; water, the balance. Electric stabilization is carried out at a temperature of not higher than 40 C for 45 to 60 min by direct current at power of 10 kW/sq.m with periodic reversal of poles every 4-5 min. Manufacture of articles from building material wood by sieving it by fractions, moistening of wood, forced mixing of it with cement and soluble glass, loading in a mould with compaction, connection of the mould to the electrodes, connection of direct current with periodic reversal of poles, extraction from the mould and seasoning for gaining of transport strength. The mould, whose side walls have dielectric inserts, is made of metal, the mould and the bottom plate are made of stainless steel for use as electrodes; after electric stabilization the article is seasoned in the mould for 4-5 h for gaining of dismantling strength. Extraction of the article from the mould is accomplished by pressing-off on a backing, then it is seasoned for 4-5 days at room temperature for gaining of transport strength.
