FIELD: construction materials.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of construction materials and articles, namely to methods of making light concrete articles with wood filler, and can be used as structural material in construction of buildings, technical facilities, etc. method of producing cement-chip blocks involves mixing of filler, mineral binder, which is Portland cement, chemical additive and water and moulding the produced mixture by vibration compaction in trays with subsequent hardening of the obtained units in trays in air. Herewith when preparing a mixture of filler a mixture of quartz sand and wood-particle filler is used produced by way of ensilage of raw softwood chips produced after barking and roundup of round timber with bark content preferably to 30 wt. %, the chemical additive is represented by sodium silicate at the following component ratio, WT. %: said wood-particle filler 37-43, quartz sand 10-15, Portland cement 33-38, sodium silicate 0.7-2.0, water- the rest.

EFFECT: technical result consists in producing light-weight cheap construction cement-chip unit with high strength and density.
