LUBRICATING COMPOSITION Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: lubrication of rails and wheel pairs of rolling stock of rail transport. SUBSTANCE: lubricating composition comprises mineral oil having freezing temperature of not higher then minus 45 C, graphite, gelling complex consisting of activator, e. g. aluminium compounds; gelant, e.g. orthophosphoric acid esters of formula: RO-PO₂H-OR₁ wherein R is alkyl containing from 6 to 20 carbon atoms; R₁ is alkyl or alkyloxy containing from 1 to 6 carbon atoms, and complexing agent such as triethanol amine or esters thereof. Ratios of components are as follows, wt %: activator, 0.3-2.0; gelant, 1.5-5.0; complexing agent, 0.2-1.0; graphite, 3.0-20.0; and mineral oil, up to 100.
