FIELD: testing equipment. SUBSTANCE: invention is related to means testing materials. It can be used to measure modulus of elasticity and strength of non-metal materials. Gear for compression test has chamber in the form of pot, punch and measurement transducers. Lid with holes to accommodate upper part of stepped punch and bushings into which measurement transducers with test prods resting against protruding part of punch are installed is put into groove in base of chamber. Transducers are connected to measurement and information units. Upper face of punch has spherical recess where centering plate with spherical boss for uniform distribution of pressure over area of section of sample is put, lower face of it has groove symmetrical to that of upper part made in base of chamber to fix sample by center. EFFECT: increased operational efficiency of gear due to timely generation of test results. 2 dwg, 1 tbl
