FIELD: medicine, particularly, cardiology. SUBSTANCE: method is based on day monitoring of arterial pressure of 1123 patients with arterial hypertension. Results of day monitoring and data on level of arterial pressure with its traditional one-time measurement by attending doctor are subjected to correlation and regression analysis. Obtained equations of multiple linear regression reflecting the character of interrelation of values of arterial pressure in men and women in one-time measurement with average level and variability of arterial pressure calculated on the basis of data of its day monitoring. Obtained equations make it possible on the basis of date of day monitoring, to calculate value of equivalent pressure which may be compared with regulations for traditional one-time measurement of arterial pressure. On the basis of this comparison, conclusion is made on presence and severity of arterial hypertension. The proposed method allows not only making conclusion on presence of arterial hypertension but its severity as well, and compiling of programs of treatment and prophylactic measures for concrete patient. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 ex
