FIELD: medical equipment. SUBSTANCE: extractor has basket-type catcher and control device. Basket-type catcher has proximal end with at least two branches terminating in loops defining surface of distal end of basket-type catcher. At least part of loops on mentioned surface are laid so as to intersect one another to define additional cells within loops. Extractor of such construction allows foreign matter of any configuration and size to be reliably gripped, isolated and withdrawn from hollow organ. EFFECT: simplified construction and increased efficiency in extracting foreign matter without substantial injuring of inner surface of hollow organ. 10 cl, 5 dwg
