FIELD: rheumatology. SUBSTANCE: patients receive orally 400-600 mg of antiinflammatory preparation pentoxyphillin daily in 2-3 single doses. When preparation is administered intravenously, daily dose of 100-300 mg of preparation in 250-300 ml of isotonic sodium chloride solution or 5-% glucose solution is injected from 90 to 180 min. If necessary, administration of pentoxyphillin is combined with administration of non-steroidal antiinflammatory and basis preparations. Such strategy allows inhibiting production of tumor-necrotic factor d. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of antiinflammatory therapy and reduced doses of non-steroidal preparations. 4 cl, 3 ex
