FIELD: press-building industry, in particular, crank presses. SUBSTANCE: crank press has a bed, crankshaft, slide, shafting drive section, friction clutch, control board. The specific feature of the press is its equipment with a control device consisting of a pulse transducer installed for engagement with the shafting drive section, pulse counter installed on the press control board, pulse counter on/off detector installed for engagement with the crankshaft, and electric circuits connecting the pulse counter inputs to the pulse transducer and pulse counter on/off detector. EFFECT: enhanced reliability and durability of the crank press due to prevention of slipping of the friction clutch in the normal process of stamping and prevented considerable overloads at a violation of the process of stamping. 2 dwg, 1 tbl
