FIELD: locking mechanisms. SUBSTANCE: mechanism of electromechanical cylinder lock includes base member housing cylinder of lock which rotates with reference to base member while mechanism of lock is open. Latching unit functionally dependent on electronic code prevents turning of cylinder of lock relative to base member in position of latching independent of mechanism of lock mentioned above. Latching unit includes latching member turned electromechanically that is matched with guiding groove made in cylinder of lock or in rotary member. Latching member is capable of uninterrupted turning so that in turned position ensuring latching it prevents free rotary motion of cylinder of lock with regard to base member. EFFECT: given latching unit is reliable in operation and structurally uncomplicated as rectilinear motion controlled by spring is excluded. 9 cl, 5 dwg
