FIELD: weaponry, in particular, automatic weapon gas pressure control mechanisms providing for automatic control of the piston speed to the required value for shooting by cartridges producing different pressures in the bore. SUBSTANCE: mechanism has a gas cylinder with a piston and a rod passing through the central hole in the front wall of the gas cylinder. A valve, having a tapered shape and provided with an obturating ring, is installed in the gas-exhaust chamber. The gas-exhaust port is formed by a gap between the rod and the central hole, and one end of the spring rests on the valve, while the other, on the centering member. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of mechanism functioning use of the underbarrel magazine with a variable capacity for a larger quantity of cartridges. 2 dwg
