FIELD: weapons. SUBSTANCE: mechanism adjusting flow of gases in automatic arms makes it possible to adjust reloading effort to required value automatically in process of small arms fire with cartridges forming various pressures in bore. Mechanism adjusting flow of gases in automatic arms has barrel with gas outlet, gas chamber housing piston. Piston is joined to lock carrier in which lock is located. Mechanism includes return spring and recoil delaying spring placed between lock carrier and lock. Compression effort of recoil delaying spring is greater than compression effort of return spring. EFFECT: simplified design and increased functional reliability of automatic arms. 2 dwg
