FIELD: seismic acoustics; attacking oil pools by sound waves; vertical seismic grading and interwell radioscopy. SUBSTANCE: program-controlled relay scheme is used for controlling down- hole logging instrument through three-conductor armored logging cable. Relay circuit components connect parts of surface control unit with those of down-hole logging instrument through logging cable conductors. Conductor- to-conductor and conductor-to-armor capacitive coupling of cable does not produce any effect on instrument operation. EFFECT: reduced size of instrument and heat release within its space. 3 dwg
