METHOD OF INVESTIGATION OF LIQUID-PHASE DYNAMIC PROCESSES IN STRATA WITH ANOMALOUSLY LOW PRESSURE Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: hydrogeology. SUBSTANCE: method can be employed to control development of oil-and water- bearing strata. Indicators of several colors are used in this investigation. Indicator of each color is prepared in the form of liquid suspension of microgranules composed of mixture of polycondensated resin and organic luminescent substance. Dispersity degree of microgranules is found by proposed formula. Indicators are mixed with selected volume of stratal fluid in accordance with preset proportion. Central injection wells arranged in certain manner are selected. Prepared suspension of indicator of one color is pumped into each well. There is formula submitted to determine time after which first sample is taken from each observation well. Frequency of sampling of stratal fluid is also found by proposed formula as well as time of termination of sample taking. Concentration of indicator of each color is determined in each taken sample. Concentration of similar indicator entered face zone of stratum corresponding to it is found by proposed formula. Aggregate of values of change of concentration of indicator of each color in time in face zone of stratum is used to determine its capacitive-filtering properties and directions of liquid-phase flows.
