FIELD: measurement technology; check of shaft keyway parameters. SUBSTANCE: proposed device has body made in form of prism with reading unit fitted on it. Reading unit is provided with measuring end-piece. Body is also provided with indicator fitted with measuring stem and rod engaged with measuring stem of indicator. Test prod is secured on rod. Trying to bring working surface of test prod in contact with side walls of shaft keyway in the beginning and at the end and with measuring plane, reading of indicator are noted and then deviation from symmetry and amount of cocking of keyway are found. In measuring the depth of key-way, flat location surface of measuring end-piece is brought in contact with bottom of key way and cylindrical surface of shaft. Depth of key-way is determined by difference of reading of reading unit and parallel misalignment is found by difference of readings of reading unit at contact with bottom at the beginning and at the end of keyway.
