FIELD: measurement techniques.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for measuring the width and symmetry of a groove in parts in the form of a hinged fork. The hinged fork is positioned in the inclined body by mounting it on the reference and positioning prisms. The mutual angular position of the hinged fork and the inclined body is verified by means of reciprocating movements of the hinged fork around the longitudinal axis of the tail part on the base prism and a probe with a rod around the longitudinal axis of the rod. The reciprocating movements of the measuring probe with the rod are carried out in a plane parallel to the common bisector plane of the basing and mounting prisms, thus achieving invariability of the readings of the reference head when the measuring probe touches the lateral surface at two extreme points in the direction of the groove length. The first reading is taken. The measuring probe is brought into contact with the other side surface, the second reading is taken. The measuring probe is rotated around the longitudinal axis of the rod and moved along this axis, achieving the centering of the measuring probe along the mounting prism by simultaneously touching the lateral working surface of the probe with the working surfaces of the mounting prism. The third sample is taken. Based on the data obtained, the width of the groove and the deviation from symmetry are determined.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of measurement.
