SUBSTANCE: described is method of preparing monodispersed synthetic polymeric latex with carboxylated surface of particles by emulsifier-free emulsion polymerization of vinyl monomer in aqueous alkaline medium in the presence of carboxyl-containing initiator on heating. Vinyl monomer includes one or mixture of monomers from styrene, vinyl acetate (meth)acrylates, and initial reaction mixture further contains salt which is capable of forming buffer solutions in the field of alkali pH values or mixture of such salts at salt concentration in terms of aqueous phase of 0.005-0.150 M. Invention has applications in colloidal chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology and medicine, predominantly for preparing immuoreagents in immune analysis.
